Liz Walsh is a multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles whose work explores the intersection of plant life, urban sprawl, and psychological landscapes. Working primarily in painting, with extensions into clay and video, she examines the tension between technology and the entropy of the natural world. Her compositions often feature exaggerated flora, cockpit-like structures, and dreamlike figures that act as portals into subconscious narratives. Through layered, vibrant imagery, Walsh creates intricate tableaux that reflect the power of nature and the complexity of internal emotional worlds.

Her first solo show was in 2011 at Focus Gallery in North Beach, San Francisco. Born in 1972 in San Diego, CA, Rachel Slick is a Tucson based artist with works spanning painting, sculpture, and public art. She studied at Gerrit Rietveld Academy of Art in Amsterdam and has designed, fabricated and installed 27 permanent public art installations across the United States.
Her dye and paint on paper paintings depict lush, densely layered ecosystems. Alive with flora and fauna inspired by desert life, they are shot through with myth and magic, rendered in saturated color and dynamic movement.
Artist Statement:
About 10 years ago, I began painting flowers as an antidote to depression. My neurological disabilities had suddenly intensified, and,
I could find few reasons to get out of bed.
My dominant hand lost function. Tremors and nerve damage forced a rebuild of my entire process. Everything felt overwhelming. But if I could paint a single flower, that was enough to get me into my studio. I grabbed on to that one goal and held on.
Flower art is often dismissed as merely pretty. But they carry outrageous miracles, life bursting from a tiny speck into vivid color, wild nurture, and the dance of life.

While a student at the UA, he helped establish the student-run Carbonbase Studio and Gallery. Post- graduation, he continued to work as an art handler and picture framer before co-founding Atlas Fine Art Services in 2011.
Albert’s work is primarily small scale drawings that are comprised of layers of cross-hatched marks which create textile-like surfaces, and deal with concepts of memory, family, the natural world and ways language affects and interferes with our perceptions of our world.
Albert Chamillard has exhibited work nationally and locally and is represented by Etherton Gallery in Tucson.
